Living Room Glow Up!

Before & After

When my grandfather passed away, my mom moved back to Virginia to take care of my grandmother. They had lived there for years… and like most families, there was a lot of stuff.

While my grandma was alive, she wouldn’t let anything be thrown away. So when she passed, everything was left to my mom. Every memory. Every box. Every “I’ll deal with this later.”

And that’s a lot for one person.

Especially when you don’t want to feel disrespectful.

When every item feels emotional.

When letting go feels like letting go of people you loved.

It became overwhelming.

That’s where I came in.

Organizing and creating calm is something I’m really good at, and I wanted to help her breathe again in her own home.

We ripped up the old rug.

Put in new floors.

Painted the walls.

And I took her shopping so she could choose what she loved.

Now this space feels peaceful again.

Light.

Fresh.

Like her.
