Chocolate Rice Crispy Treats (No Marshmallows)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate ( recommended brands is Hu or Pascha )

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal ( recommended brand The Real Cereal Co. )

  • Pinch of sea salt (optional but chef’s kiss)

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate + oil
    Use a double boiler or microwave in 20–30 second bursts, stirring until smooth.

  2. Season
    Stir in a small pinch of sea salt.

  3. Add cereal
    Fold in the rice cereal until everything is evenly coated.

  4. Press into pan
    Line an 8×8 pan with parchment. Press mixture in gently and evenly.

  5. Chill
    Refrigerate 20–30 minutes until firm.

  6. Slice & enjoy
    Use a sharp knife (warm it under hot water for clean cuts).

Easy Upgrades (optional)

  • Extra crunch: sprinkle flaky sea salt on top

  • Softer bite: add 1 extra tablespoon coconut oil

  • Flavor boost: ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Dairy-free: use dairy-free dark chocolate
